 Fuengirola Rosary Fair 2025

Feria del Rosario 2025 in Fuengirola: everything you need to know

Every autumn Fuengirola dresses up for its festival: lights, stalls, flamenco, horses and the beloved procession in honour of the Virgin of the Rosario. The Feria del Rosario 2025 is held during the first week of October, and it is one of the best times of the year to enjoy the Andalusian atmosphere just a few metres from the sea — and that is why it is also the perfect time to book your holiday rental with us at GR Estates.

When does the Fuengirola fair start?

The fair will kick off on 6 October 2025 with the traditional opening speech at the Palacio de la Paz, which officially marks the beginning of the festivities. During the following days, visitors can enjoy stalls with traditional gastronomy, flamenco performances and activities for both young and old. On 7 October, the main day will be celebrated in honour of the Virgin of the Rosario, patron saint of Fuengirola, with a rociero mass and a procession through the historic centre, a very special moment for both locals and visitors.

Shows and confirmed concerts

This year the artistic programme is especially varied and brings together big names in music, flamenco, comedy and even children’s theatre.

  • On 6 October, after the opening speech, the festive atmosphere will continue in the fairground, with stalls open until the early hours and live music.
  • On 7 October, the spotlight will be on the Flamenco Festival El Jabegote Juan de la Loma, featuring artists such as María Terremoto, José Valencia and El Petro, paying tribute to the most authentic Andalusian tradition.
  • On 8 October it will be the children’s turn, with the Tadeo Jones Musical, filling the Palacio de la Paz with adventure and fun from six in the evening. On the same day “Children’s Day” will also be celebrated, with reduced prices on the fairground rides.
  • On 9 October, Manuel Lombo will take to the stage, one of the great current references of copla and flamenco, with a concert full of emotion and roots.
  • On 10 October will come one of the most eagerly awaited moments: Sergio Dalma will give a concert where he will perform his greatest hits and thrill the Fuengirola audience.
  • On 11 October it will be a night to laugh with Daniel Fez, who will bring his fresh and direct humour in a stand-up show.

Finally, on 12 October, a national holiday, the fair will close in style with the musical event Los 40 Sessions, led by El Gallo and Óscar Martínez, who will turn the night into a true party for all ages. All these shows will take place at the Palacio de la Paz, except for the Tadeo Jones Musical, which is especially aimed at children and will begin earlier, at 6:00 pm. Tickets are already available on the official Fuengirola website and can also be purchased in person at the Miramar Shopping Centre or at the Palacio box office on the day of each show, subject to availability.

Practical tips to enjoy the fair

During the fair, the fairground opens every day with activities from midday and continues until late at night. If you come with your family, do not miss the horse parades that will be in the fairground until 8:00 pm, and the children’s activities. If you prefer nightlife, the stalls are the perfect place to dance, try typical tapas and enjoy the most authentic Andalusian atmosphere.

And so you do not miss a single detail of this wonderful Fuengirola celebration, here are some extra tips:

  • Transport: Focus on accommodation by the beach or near the centre to avoid traffic and parking searches during the fair nights.

  • Stall opening hours: They usually open at midday and remain active at night until the early hours (around 4 am they usually close). Check the local programme on arrival.

  • Restaurants: Book a table in advance if you plan to dine out, as the city fills with visitors throughout the whole fair week.
  • Safety and comfort: Wear comfortable shoes for the cobbled streets since between concerts, stalls and walks through the centre, you will end up walking a lot.

  • Children: Many stalls offer children’s activities and you can also check the programme for them in the fair book or on the official website of Fuengirola Town Hall. The “cacharritos” area, as locals call the rides, is open during the same hours as the stalls.

Why October is the best time to book with GR Estates

Experiencing the Feria del Rosario is not the same when you stay in the heart of Fuengirola or right by the beach. October offers mild temperatures, fewer crowds than in summer and the chance to enjoy both the Andalusian fair and the sea.

Booking with GR Estates means having an apartment tailored to you, with local recommendations on the best stalls and schedules, and the peace of mind of having a team that knows the fair first-hand and can guide you so your experience is complete. In addition, during fair week the demand for accommodation rises considerably, so booking in advance is the best way to secure location and price.

Your perfect plan

Imagine spending the day at the beach, returning to your apartment to rest and, in the evening, walking to the fairground, or taking the free buses, to enjoy the most festive and Andalusian atmosphere of Málaga: polka dots, dances, tapas, food and drink, local music and disco, flamenco…it’s the perfect plan! Or taking the children in the afternoon to see the Tadeo Jones Musical and then going for a walk through the illuminated fairground. With comfortable, well-located accommodation, everything is so much more enjoyable.

At GR Estates we want you to experience the Feria del Rosario like a true local from Fuengirola. Contact us to book your accommodation and get ready for a unique week of tradition, music and fun on the Costa del Sol.
